The SIASU ground staff union election preceded the cabin crew election which concluded on 21 April 2015. The ground staff team led by the incumbent general secretary Loga was challenged by another team led by Ratha. The result was 10-10 even or draw in layman's term.
After a week or so, the much eagerly awaited result from the cabin crew side pointed to Alan's HEART which won with a big margin. HEART is in favour of Ratha's team and voted them into power.
It may not be official yet but Ratha should be elected by delegates to replace Loga as the general secretary of the union for the next 4 years.
